Short version: Use The Decent to build real things. Don't use it to harm people, violate laws, or scrape data. You own what you build. We own the platform. We can terminate accounts that violate these terms.
By accessing or using The Decent ("the platform," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users, including creators who submit Creator Packs.
The Decent is an AI agent hub that allows creators to discover, build, deploy, and monetize AI agents. The platform operates on open-source infrastructure (AGPL-3.0) and is designed to be resistant to acquisition or centralized control.
The platform is currently in private beta. Features, pricing, and availability may change.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and API keys. You must not share your credentials with others. You must be at least 13 years old to use the platform. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You may use the platform for any lawful creative, business, or civic purpose. You may not use the platform to:
If you submit a Creator Pack to the Marketplace:
You retain ownership of all content you create using the platform, including agents, SKILL.md files, and outputs. The Decent retains ownership of the platform, its code (AGPL-3.0 licensed), branding, and infrastructure.
The platform's core protocol is licensed under AGPL-3.0. You may fork and self-host it, subject to AGPL-3.0 requirements.
The platform supports bring-your-own-API-key. When you use your own Claude API key, you are also subject to Anthropic's usage policies. The Decent is not responsible for your API usage costs or violations of third-party API terms.
Subscription fees are billed monthly. Cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months. Creator Pack payouts are processed within 5 business days of the 1st of each month.
The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Agent outputs are AI-generated and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing agent outputs before acting on them. The Decent is not liable for decisions you make based on agent outputs.
The platform is not a financial advisor, legal advisor, or medical advisor. Nothing on the platform constitutes professional advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Decent's total liability to you for any claims arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to The Decent in the 3 months preceding the claim.
We may terminate or suspend your access for violations of these terms, with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting hello@thedecent.ai. Termination does not entitle you to a refund.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, not class action lawsuits, except where prohibited by law.
We may update these terms. We will notify you by email for material changes and post updates here. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
